m people they trusted with positions.
I expect that by now some people must be telling Mr. Governor the negative effects of some of his Administration's policies even if he will not listen.
1. The Government has thought it fit to introduce models schools in all the twenty local government of the State of course this had been applauded by many including me as a step in the tight direction provided the old and existing schools will also receive government attention. But how feasible is a model school when the two teacher training Institutions that should pivot the model schools are still engulfed in serious crisis. TASUED is being proposed for scrapping while TASCE is wailing in agonies of poor funding. It is obvious from this that what the government is interested in is the loud ovation and accolades of having good super model structures without consideration of teachers productivity and pedagogical improvement aimed at producing effective and qualitative instructional leadership in our school system. As it is the government only want to focus on reforming the learning environment without considering production of adequate teaching personnel and teachers delivery quality.
2. Again, what is the sense in having two Airports in Abeokuta metropolis by the same Administration that heavily criticised the last regime for sitting TASUED and TASCE in the same locality. It is on record that Rt Hon. Dimeji Bankole before leaving office in 2011 had facilitated the establishment of a Passenger Airport around Ewekoro area while Otunba Daniel had proposed a cargo/passengers Airport around Iperu Ilisan area of the State. The disturbing news coming from the ongoing budget defence in OGHA is to the effect that the government has proposed moving the Cargo Airport to Abeokuta. The question must be asked what is wrong in the present site of the project? . This was a project that was condemned in the wake of the100billion naira bond saga of the last administration by even the incumbent Governor now being thought fit .fo Abeokuta, in essence it was not the project that was wrong but the site of it
3. While the government has not deemed it fit to make adequate and maximum use of the OPIC plaza built by OGD administration , we are privilege to also hear that the government is planning another 24 stories plaza somewhere around Abeokuta in the 2013 budget. The Governor must be reminded that even Rome the capital of the then known world was not built in a day. While oher areas of the State are still begging for good roads, rural electrifications, portable water and school buildings the government is daily embarking on wasteful spending on infrastructures that are luxury rather than of necessity.
My posers this morning may be seen by the people in government as undue criticism of the administration but I'm sure it calls for a sincere and sober reflections on the part of leadership of ACN whom the people of the State voted to replace the ailing PDP on the premise of change. Anyway, the House of Assembly is the last hope of the masses in case of Executive recklessness so over to you our revered Legislators
